Anahata in Sanskrit. Element: AirColors: Green and pink Your fourth Chakra, the Heart Chakra, is located behind the breast bone in front and on the spine between the shoulder blade in back. While connecting body and mind to spirit this energy center is the space for love spirituality and compassion and directs the ability to love yourselves and others , both giving and receiving love. Now a days almost everyone is suffering from either a hard, hurt or broken heart, it is no mischance that heart disease is the Chief killer in America today. When Anahata is IN balance you will feel friendly, understanding, accepting, outgoing, and be able to see the good in everyone feeling serene with yourself and the people in your life. You will also feel an immense compassion for all living creatures and will recognize their outstanding intelligence. You will enjoy solitude and will be content waiting for the "right" one to come along understanding it will come to you when the time is right. When UNbalanced you may feel pity for yourself and be afraid of getting hurt or letting go. Physical illnesses include insomnia, HBP/LBP, heart palpitations and not shockingly heart attacks. When fourth chakra is OVER-active your emotions will have power over you. You may be judgmental and become manipulative. You may also become co-dependent and find it hard to let go of relationships that no longer serve your Highest self. When UNDER-active you will most likely feel very negative in your thinking and you might find it difficult to be positive.
